Check-In Info:
Before Service:
Kids Ministry opens at 9:45 am.
When you check in at the kiosk, you will receive your child’s name tag and security code tag.
Please be sure to keep your child’s security tag in a safe place, as you will need it for pickup.
During Service:
If we need you for any reason during the service, your child's security code will be posted on the screens.
Our doors are locked throughout the service for the safety of your children, so you will need to show your security code tag to enter the Kids Ministry Wing.
After Service:
Once you show your child’s security tag, the teacher will release your child to you. (If you have multiple children to pick up, you will show your tag to each teacher.)
FYI: You can add trusted adults and/or restricted adults to your household profile in Planning Center.
FAQs
What if a classroom is full?
When a class is at capacity (based on safety and fire regulations), we will add you to a waiting list.
What is your sick policy?
To ensure a safe and healthy environment, we ask that you not bring your child to church if he/she has had any of these symptoms within 24 hours:
Fever of 100° or more
Vomiting
Diarrhea
Yellow or green runny nose
Excessive cough
Any symptoms of common illness (such as chicken pox; strep throat; pink eye; hand foot and mouth disease)
Use of antibiotics for less than 24 hours
When should my child level up in grade?
We ask parents to decide if they feel their child is ready to level up at the end of the school year or in the fall at the start of the new school year.
Can my child’s sibling go into the same class?
Our classrooms and lessons are designed around specific age groups. Because of this, we encourage kids to attend class at their age level.
If a child is visiting for the first time they may attend service with a friend or family member; we just ask that both children attend the service for the youngest child’s age group. This allows both children to fully understand and engage in the lesson.
What is the bathroom protocol in the Kids Ministry Wing?
0-4 years old: parents are called for bathroom breaks. Volunteers do not change diapers.
5 years- 4th grade: teachers take groups of at least 2 for bathroom breaks.
5th-6th grade: use the bathroom one at a time, without supervision.
What if there is an emergency?
It’s a good idea to sit where you have a clear view of the screens in case your child’s number is posted, but also we may text or call you.
We have teachers and safety team members who are CPR-trained and certified by the Red Cross.
In case of an emergency, do not panic, pray!
Listen for instructions from our safety team.
If necessary, our teachers will evacuate all kids through the emergency door in the Kids Ministry Wing and gather in a designated area.
